About the author

Liu Xin, born in 1970, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Public Administration, Renmin University of China. He was China's first doctoral graduate in labor economics and currently directs the university's Research Center for Human Resource Development and Management. His long-term research covers strategic human resource management, compensation management, and performance management. He is the author of Compensation Management, Performance Management, and The Way of Human-Centered Management, and has translated several classic textbooks, including Dessler's Human Resource Management. His works in this catalog span finance, culture, medicine, and prose, ranging from a practical guide to accounting and taxation for construction enterprises to a study of media change from the perspective of the metaverse, a rehabilitation nursing manual, and a multi-volume prose work. Public information is limited, so a full picture of his cross-disciplinary writing remains difficult to draw, yet his output clearly combines academic research with accessible writing for general readers.
