Public information about Liu Huizong is currently limited. His life, native place, and dates of birth and death are not clearly recorded and await further research. According to available bibliographic information, one work is attributed to him, namely the Jinxian County Gazetteer (錦縣志). The book belongs to historical reading and deals with the local evolution, geography, customs, notable figures, and institutional records of Jinxian County, making it a local gazetteer useful for understanding the history of the area. The subject matter shows that the author's writing has a distinctly local historical and gazetteer character, focusing on collecting, organizing, and recording materials rather than on extended argument. Its style is likely practical, concise, and documentary, aiming to preserve local records. Because background materials are scarce, a fuller assessment of his writing and influence is difficult; readers may turn to the Jinxian County Gazetteer itself to appreciate his care and value in compiling local history.
