Liu Jianbo is an author about whom limited public information is available; the name appears on several translated and edited works spanning rather different subjects. Four titles are held here, covering world history, medicine, and foreign literature: Report from the Nazi Hell: A Jewish Doctor's Account of Auschwitz, a documentary text on World War II and the Holocaust; Lectures on Liu Shaowu's Three-Part Six-Disease Theory (Audio Edition), a medical volume based on lectures in traditional Chinese medicine; and two foreign literary works, The Golden Basket Hotel and The Blue Cat of Castle Town. His work therefore seems to center on introducing foreign writings and organizing topical lectures, touching on historical memory, medical theory, and children's literature, with translations and editing aimed at conveying the original content accurately and giving Chinese readers accessible versions of these subjects.
