Liu Jianhua

Liu Jianhua, born in 1975 in Lianhua, Jiangxi, is executive director and research fellow at the Institute of Media Studies of the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication. He holds a doctorate in media economics from Renmin University of China, has completed postdoctoral research at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and is a member of the Chinese Writers Association. His research focuses on media economics, cultural industries, and media convergence, and he has published more than forty books. Eight of his works are included here, ranging from media research reports and studies of foreign literature to lectures on Chinese classics, historical and geographical writing, and health-related titles. His writing bridges academic and general reading, combining annual observations of the press and media convergence with inquiries into Zhuangzi's thought, post-secular American fiction, and foreign literary chronicles, while translating themes of geography, family, and the inner life into accessible prose for ordinary readers.
