About the author

Liu Shougang is a Chinese author of books in the fields of finance and management, about whom publicly available information is limited. His research interests center on fiscal history and fiscal politics. Four of his works are included in the library: Three Thousand Years of Fiscal China, Interpretations of Classic Works on Statecraft and Financial Management in Ancient China, Opening Modernity: Fiscal Politics in State Transformation, and Perspectives on Fiscal Politics: Origins and Development. These works show that he examines fiscal issues from both historical and political perspectives, tracing classic Chinese thought on statecraft and financial management while exploring fiscal-political questions in modern state transformation. His writing combines scholarly rigor with readability, offering readers in the finance and management categories a systematic reference for understanding the origins and evolution of fiscal institutions.
