Ling Chen is a Chinese author whose work spans a notably broad range. Seven of the author's titles are held in the collection, covering social psychology, science fiction, social fiction, foreign literature, and documentary writing. Representative works include The Nature of Prejudice, Infiltrating Guiyang, Waves Against the Sea, Their Private Lives, Grand Desert Songs: A Documentary on China's New-Era Aid to Xinjiang, Cats Know All the Answers, and Metaverse: Boundaries. These titles suggest an interest in prejudice and social-psychological questions, in science-fiction imagination and concepts such as the metaverse, and in realist subjects and women's lived experience, showing a readiness to move between fiction and nonfiction. Because public information is limited, biographical details remain unclear, and current understanding rests mainly on the subjects and categories of the works themselves.
