侯延勇

Hou Yanyong is an author of popular writing on fire safety and on-site first aid. Public information about him is limited, and his nationality, dates of birth and death, education, and professional background are not clearly recorded. Judging from the seven works held in the collection, his writing centers on two areas: fire safety knowledge—fire prevention, fire response, escape from fire scenes, the use of firefighting equipment, and fire regulations—and basic on-site first aid. The titles are mostly plain and direct, often using the phrase “need to know” and sometimes posing questions to general readers, which suggests the books are aimed at a broad audience and explain emergency knowledge in a concise, practical way, emphasizing how to judge a situation and act when something unexpected happens. The works are classified under medicine, social culture, popular science, and social sciences, reflecting an approach that turns specialized knowledge into public reading. For readers who want a systematic introduction to the basics of fire prevention, escape, and first aid, these books offer introductory reference material.
