Berlao is a freelance Chinese translator who earned a master's degree in comparative cultural studies from Tohoku University in Japan and works mainly on translating Japanese literature. Public information about the translator is limited. The translations cover a fairly wide range, including works such as My Cat, Twelve Years Old, The Blue Bird, Kiyoko, and Reading for Results, as well as light novels. The most concentrated project is the light novel series Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense, published by Sichuan Literature and Art Publishing House, with multiple volumes and a six-volume set included in the library.
