为你读诗

Wei Ni Du Shi ("Reading Poetry for You") is a collective byline centered on the spread of poetry and the promotion of reading. Public information about it is limited, and its specific members, founding date and location are not clearly documented. Judging from the nine works in the collection, its editorial focus is on poetry anthologies and literary appreciation: it includes compilations of classic Chinese and foreign poetry, such as Forever Summer: Selected Poems by Classic Chinese Masters and I Enter the Room: Selected Poems by Classic Foreign Masters, as well as biographical essays and life-oriented readings of ancient poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu, Su Shi and Li Qingzhao, exemplified by the three-volume series offering a poetic interpretation of these celebrated figures' life journeys and by Life Is Like Traveling Against the Current, Fortunately We Still Have Su Shi. The list also touches on pairing classical verse with traditional-style illustrations. The overall style is popular and accessible, using poems to illuminate the poets and their times and lowering the threshold for ordinary readers to approach classical and modern poetry.
