万曼

Wan Man: publicly available information is limited; it is known only that Wan Man has eight works in circulation, mostly focused on classical poetry and poets' biographies. Representative works include "Unshaken as a Mountain in Wind and Rain: A Biography of Du Fu," "Biography of Du Fu," "Biography of Bai Juyi," as well as collections such as "Starlight Resplendent: Masters of the Tang and Song Poetry Circles," "The Resplendent Poetry Circle: Collected Masters of Poetry," "Brilliant Talents Through the Ages: Giants of Poetry," "Sage of Poetry, Demon of Poetry: A Life of Poetry and Wine in the Jianghu," and "A Dazzling Galaxy of Poetry Stars." These titles suggest that Wan Man's writing centers on the Tang and Song poetry circles, both crafting biographies of major poets such as Du Fu and Bai Juyi and sketching group portraits of poets through collections. The biographical works attend to the poets' life circumstances and inner worlds, while the collections strive to present the overall character of the poetry circles. Overall, Wan Man's works combine the narrative quality of biography with the accessibility of popular writing on poetry, suited to readers interested in Tang and Song poetry and the stories of its poets.
