About the author

Frank Fowler was an early twentieth-century author of boys' adventure fiction, best known for the Broncho Rider Boys series published by A. L. Burt & Company of New York in the 1910s. The four titles held here are The Broncho Rider Boys with Funston at Vera Cruz, The Broncho Rider Boys Along the Border, The Broncho Rider Boys on the Wyoming Trail, and The Broncho Rider Boys with the Texas Rangers. Judging from these titles, the stories are largely set along the U.S.-Mexico border and in Texas and Wyoming, following young riders through frontier adventures with an emphasis on action and suspense in the classic boys' adventure style. Public information about Fowler himself is limited: his nationality and dates of birth and death cannot be confirmed, and reliable documentary records are scarce. Knowledge of the author and his work therefore rests mainly on this series itself.
